Who we are

Hoopoe Explorers is a UK educational publisher of children's and family books. "Hoopoe Poster" is our own internal tool that publishes our book videos to our own social media accounts (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok). Contact: contact@hoopoeexplorers.com

What the app does

Hoopoe Poster is used only by Hoopoe Explorers staff. It uploads videos and captions that we create to accounts that we own. It is not offered to the public and no members of the public sign in to it.

What information we use

When we connect our own accounts, the platforms give us a sign-in token and basic account details (account name and ID). We use these only to publish our own posts and to confirm that a post was successful. We do not collect, read, store or share any information about other users, followers, viewers or the public. We do not sell any data.

Google and YouTube data

Hoopoe Poster's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. It uses the YouTube Data API only to upload our own videos to our own channel. By using YouTube features you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

Where information is kept

Sign-in tokens are stored securely on our own private server, readable only by the publishing tool. They are never shared with third parties.

How long we keep it

Tokens are kept only while the connection is in use. We can disconnect at any time from each platform's settings (for Google: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions), after which the tokens stop working and are deleted.

Children

Our books are for children, but the app itself is used only by adult staff of Hoopoe Explorers. The app does not collect any information from children.
